I am working under the assumption that Henry's MBP and MBA are 2012 or newer models since TB2 he mentions only occur on 2014 Mac laptops (exception 2013 13" MBP), which have USB3 type A ports and thus something as simple as this suffices ($20 from Apple): While not inexpensive by any means, I think the combination would work: I'd place a pretty high bet on his MBA and MBP having USB3 ports.
But he didn't ask about about a TB2 to USB-C connector, he asked about a TB2 Mac. Of course his MBA would have TB1 in that case, but isn't that the same connector? Maybe Henry has the same MacBook Air so that is why he asked for TB2 to USB-C. Not sure from what year it was, probably 2011.
